INVENTOR PROFILE
Neil Allen was born in Perth, Western Australia.
He has travelled extensively around Australia and adores his home country. He currently resides in a suburb in Perth with a large back garden and a very big shed. His shed is his sanctuary – the home of all his thought processes!
Neil is the youngest of 7 children. Hence, every family occasion results in a large gathering.

While catering for his father’s 88th birthday in September, 2006, Neil came to the conclusion that cooking an endless number of sausages on the BBQ for hungry nieces and nephews, had to be easier.
And so the Rack ‘n Roll was born…
A sleepless night followed by a few hours in the shed and the first working prototype was produced. Together with the assistance of a Perth based design team, Form Designs, Neil has been able to bring the Rack ‘n Roll to the public market. The entire journey has been a great learning experience, a journey that Neil has been privileged to travel on.

Following his recent entry to the Australian Design Awards 2008, Neil was invited to appear on the ABC’s TV show “The New Inventors” (Episode 4, 27th March, 2008). This has been a very exciting phase in the development of the Rack ‘n Roll.
Meanwhile, Neil is back in his garden shed doing what he loves best – coming up with more inventions!
Before you know it, there will be more SnagMan products available.
Good Luck, Neil.
